Hello, and welcome to a (slightly late!) instalment of Fortified.
Last week, we mentioned that Los Coast had just premiered a new track on My Old Kentucky Blog, the beautiful ‘Summer Samaritan’. This past week, the band played a number of shows, including an incredibly cool-looking outdoor performance in New Orleans. The band shared some awesome photos of that over on their Facebook page. Meanwhile, the Austin-based Los Coast (who, you’ll remember, stole the show at SXSW from bands who had travelled far and wide to attend) have announced that they’ll be playing at this year’s Austin City Limits festival at the end of September, alongside some amazing names.

Normanton Street had a very busy week too. They were in Paris on Saturday, playing at L’Alimentation Generale, before another show in Brighton the following night. Soapbox Media were with them in Paris to capture some awesome photos of their day out, which you can check out here. Normanton Street have also been selected to play at the Impressive PR showcase at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival on May 20th!

This weekend people in the United States were showing appreciation for the ladies that raised them for Mother’s Day. However, Wes’ plea to a certain ‘Young Girl’ continued to gain traction around the web, including from Auditory Collective and Eating da Streets. Meanwhile, he’s been sharing a number of details on his Twitter about this summer’s Late Bloomer album, and that baby.daddi project with Ye Ali and Tommy Genesis. Make sure you’re keeping track.
