Hello and welcome once again to another Fortified round up.

Normanton Street

Normanton Street released some details of their new EP that is literally just days away from release now.  As reported by TV Rage, its a 5 track project including the huge single Angelene thats already been a visible fan favourite at recent live shows.  The video for that track is also very near release.  In the meantime, Normanton Street have been busy with plenty of gigs recently, including impressing plenty of new fans at the Impressive PR showcase as part of Brighton’s answer to SXSW, The Great Escape Festival.

In the coming days they will be in Swansea at ‘Funk Junkkies‘, in London for ‘Thump Howl Go!‘ at the Silver Bullet, and then at the Funk the Format Festival in Hove.

Los Coast

They say there’s no publicity like word of mouth, and Los Coast continue to make impressive waves in their local scenes despite being the new kids on the block.  This past week they were featured on the ‘Lone Star State of Mind‘ show over at 96.3 KGSR Radio.  Speaking of the Lone Star State, they’ve also announced a whole range of shows for the summer in and around Austin, framed by their two big festival appearances of the summer at Free Press Festival and Austin City Limits in early June and late September respectively.  Find out more on their website, loscoast.com!

The Orwells

Elsewhere on the festival front, The Orwells played at the Shaky Knees festival last week and got rave reviews for their final day performance from Paste Magazine, who said they “got the crowd moving despite the heat.”  If that sounds good to you, you can catch them this Thursday at their pre-Bottle Rock party (some tickets are still available here) before they play the festival proper over the weekend.  Stay tuned for lots to come from the boys this summer!

Ian Moore

Ian Moore has a brand-spanking new website now!  Check it out now to see the long list of cities he will be visiting this summer, including some rare performances over on the East Coast.  Cities include Atlanta, New York, and Washington D.C.
