This week Fortified is fully focussed on SXSW, where just about all of the Fortress acts were showing off their talents.  Here’s everything the Fortress family have been up to this week.

Los Coast

Los Coast didn’t have to travel far for SXSW, but they still made waves with their various appearances, and they were picked by The Revue as one of their Saturday band picks.  You can watch some great fan footage of their show at Maggie Mae’s Rooftop here, and they were also caught by the official SXSW twitter page performing at the Highroad Touring showcase at 3TEN below.

Mystery Skulls

Luis aka Mystery Skulls made a quick diversion from his mammoth cross country tour with French Horn Rebellion to play twice in a day at SXSW, first at the Beautiful Buzz Party and then at the Culture Collide Showcase.  He’s already back on tour, though, playing up and down the West Coast this week.  Check if you can make some of the remaining dates here!

Normanton Street

Despite all the bands converging on Austin, Normanton Street’s journey to SXSW was surely unique, having crowdfunded their trip on the back of a new EP announcement.  On top of a secret showcase, the band played at Botticelli’s which was captured below, and then a further show in near by Dallas with Cure For Paranoia and Herrick and Hooley. Before moving on, some great portraits were also snapped by the talented Adam Powell which you can check out on their Facebook here.

Ian Moore

By now, Ian Moore is a SXSW guarantee.  Ian Moore and the The Lossy Coils performed 8 times during the week, and were featured in MTV News’ Day 2 round-up.  If you didn’t catch them there, they’re going back on tour in April.  You can find the full dates on their website.
