Fortified brings you the latest news from around Fortress. For some of us, December brought time for a break, while for others, things were as busy as ever.
West coast, best coast, except when you’re sick. Mystery Skulls succumbed heavily to a bad case of the flu meaning his headline shows planned for Portland and Vancouver this past week had to be postponed to a later date. Luis says he’s “never had to cancel a show before”, so it must have been bad. He is still lined up to play the grand opening of chic new LA venue Resident on the 11th, however, so if you’re in the area then get your name on the list here. This week also saw Mystery Skulls take a turn on remix duties for Pompeya, adding some extra bounce to his feel good single ‘Real’. Listen below and cop that.
Wes has been busy showing off his absurdly good looks for the people of Fear of Flying recently, but he did have time to put in some vocal production work for fellow budding star, LA native Ye Ali. The single, ‘Used To‘, slots in nicely on your turn up playlist next to ‘Leave Me Alone’. Did we mention, Wes will also be present alongside Mystery Skulls at the Resident opening on the 11th, so its not an event to be missed!
Is it just me, or are The Orwells turning in to mature, compassionate human beings? Some more important wisdom from them this week.
Can’t wait for a celebrity to get killed in a shooting, then maybe America will start actually doing something.
