Here’s another instalment of Fortified, where we round up everything that has gone down in the Fortress in the past week.

Normanton Street

The coming of April means plenty of shows and a new EP around the corner for Normanton Street.  On Sunday, they were on Brighton’s Juice 107.2 to discuss the whole process and look forward to the first launch night, which will be held at Patterns in Brighton on April 15th.  Tickets for that can be bought from their website here.  That will be followed by shows in London and Manchester respectively.  If this glowing review of their last London show from Blues and Soul is anything to go by, you won’t want to miss these shows!  Listen to their radio appearance below.

Wes Period

Wes has been teasing us with glimpses of Late Bloomer all over the social medias.  It seems to be imminent now.  Could this be the artwork below?  In the meantime, you might get to hear some previews if you catch him at the Resident in LA on April 19th, where Wes will be performing with Cliftun and others for a pre-420 send up!

Late Bloomer coming soon!

Mystery Skulls

Mystery Skulls has also been busy with the mixes.  Having only come off his cross country tour and on the back of the release of his brand new single Believe (which, by the way, might just be his best effort yet!), he appeared on the Accidental Rhythm podcast to deliver an exclusive mix that can be listened back to here.  If you missed it last time, check out his new single below.

Los Coast

Los Coast will be playing four shows this month: one each Thursday for the next three weeks at C Boy’s Heat & Soul in Austin, and then one in New Orleans.  Find details here.
