Hello and welcome to another instalment of Fortified.  Here’s what we’ve been up to this week…

Mystery Skulls

Mystery Skulls are now fully immersed in their North American tour, having already played 8 shows in just over a week.  The love from fans has been fantastic according to Twitter, and this is set to continue at the next shows in Atlanta and Los Angeles before an extended stay at SXSW.  As well as the previously announced Vitalic Noise Showcase, Mystery Skulls will be performing at the Beautiful Buzz ‘Get Buzzed’ Showcase alongside big names like MSTRKRFT and Danny L Harle.

The Orwells

The Chicago rockers were in Orange County this week, performing last night at The Observatory with a number of other great bands as part of the Burger Records celebration. Coming just a few days after the band announced their new album was complete, its great to see them resurfacing again!

Wes Period

Wes pops up with a feature and a number of production credits on Tiko Texas’ new and very wavy Gold Soul album which premiered via Complex Music this week.  Check it out here.

Normanton Street

Two great gigs for the band this week to celebrate their successful SXSW crowdfunding campaign!  First up was Brixton, where the band brought down the house before heading up to Cardiff a day later for a great show.  The band have finished recording a new EP which is set for an April release when they get back from the States, so its an exciting time for Normanton Street
